As you travel...
Everyone enjoys a good trip now and then. For us, part of the pleasure is in the anticipation of an adventure --- whether we will experience wondrous scenery, amazing history or the pleasant company of friends --- each trip is unique in its offerings.
As we anticipate the trip, we begin to think about what challenges we may encounter along the way. Do we need to pack special clothing or equipment? Will we need to reserve transportation? What sort of meals will we have? Sometimes, to maximize our enjoyment, we read a little history or learn something of the culture or folklore of the area we are traveling to. We have even, on occasion, endeavored to learn the basics of a new language. Perhaps we go a little further than most, but to us, each part adds to the richness of the experience.
Actually, as human beings, each of us is already on a journey. As we travel through life, there should be the anticipation of an adventure. What might tomorrow hold? ? Will there be amazing wonders, such as the birth of a child, or the beautiful intricacies of nature? Will we feel the serenity of a starlit summer evening or the pain of loss? Whether the events of our life are enjoyable or difficult, are we prepared for what we may encounter? We can be. God has already provided all that is necessary for the journey of this life: not just for our survival, but for abundant joy! No matter what you have already experienced, he has a great plan for you... and he is the master of bringing great good out of any situation. May today be the first day of a new chapter in the adventure of your life!

Theme: I Believe in Communion
Remembering the Past
Read Exodus 12:14–20
When you look at your calendar, you’ll notice that throughout the year certain days have been set aside to commemorate or call to remembrance specific events or people.
This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the Lord—a lasting ordinance (Exodus 12:14).
The instructions in this chapter were given the night before Israel was delivered from Egyptian bondage. A specific time was to be set aside each year to commemorate this momentous event. They were to share this testimony with their children and grandchildren (Exodus 12:26,27).
When we take part in Communion, we look back and remember the wonderful deliverance provided for us by Christ at Calvary. “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2Corinthians 5:21). Communion is a perpetual reminder to us of the broken body and shed blood of our Savior.
How long has it been since you shared the testimony of your deliverance from sin? Why not do that today.
Prayer Suggestion: Lord, thank You for Your great sacrifice.
